Jazz master Bill Mays returns to the Centenary Stage with his new ensemble--the Bill Mays Invention Trio! Mays' Invention Trio is a brand new group featuring Mays on piano, fellow jazz master Marvin Stamm on trumpet and flugelhorn, and the classically-trained Alisa Horn on cello. The Bills Mays Invention Trio takes listeners on a musical adventure. Together musicians and audience explore the intersection of chamber music and jazz to “find the chamber music in jazz and the jazz in chamber music." Audience members can expect fresh interpretations of well-known classical themes, jazz classics, and original works. The Trio has performed across the U.S. and now brings their unique and skillful musical talents to the Centenary Stage!
