Paul Jost -- The Barry Miles Trio at The Merion Inn

Paul Jost goes back to his percussion roots and adds his smokey, lyrical scat and heartfelt vocal interpretations and drum rhythms to the piano innovations of Barry Miles in this return to the jazz scene of Cape May that George Mesterhazy built. Paul performs regularly on the east coast, most recently at the Exit Zero Jazz Festival in Cape May, NJ with the band, The Jost Project. Paul’s vocals are so soulful that music journalist Buster Maxwell wrote, "He nearly single-handedly reclaims the male voice as a valid and critically important jazz instrument." Peter McLaren in Jazz in Europe reviewed Jost’s recording Breaking Through and said, “Paul Jost has shown that he is a force to be reckoned with and an artist that deserves to be seen on all great festival stages worldwide.”...
