Tenor sax giant JERRY WELDON headlines our Jazz & Blues Showcase series on Friday, March 10, with dynamic organist AKIKO TSURUGA and veteran drummer COLBY INZER providing support in his New York trio.

His program on the 10th pays homage to the 94th birthday of the late DEXTER GORDON, the iconic tenor saxophonist and jazz legend.

Weldon's powerful, blues drenched playing is rooted in his early formative work with jazz organ giants Jimmy McGriff, Jack McDuff, Bobbie Forrester and Dr. Lonnie Smith.
